Week of 3/3/09-3/6/09
Students are not in school next Monday, 3/2/09. Next week’s lessons have been updated as well as my resource page. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a safe and happy 3 day weekend!! Reminder- Test Tuesday (3/3/09) and quiz Friday (3/6/09).
Shoot-a-thon Donations due by March 6.
Our classes our hoping to have all donations for our shoot-a-thon fundraiser by next Friday, March 6. REMINDER - Students are not required to raise $30. This is our goal per child. However, any and all donations are appreciated. Thank you again for all of your support. We will post the exact date of our shoot-a-thon later in the month. If your child needs another copy of the donations sheet, click on my resource page and I downloaded the link to print out another copy. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Test Next Week
There will be a test next Tuesday. Students need to study; 1) Ch. 5 notes, 2) 5.1-5.2 Flip Chart (on website), 3) 5.3. Flip Chart (on website), 4) 5.1-5.2. Questions (questions and answer key on website), 5) Smog Experiment (pre-lab available on website). Tuesday morning I will have a study session from 7:30am-8am. Any questions or concerns please let me know!
Resource Page!!
On my resource page at the top of the screen will link you to additional science enforcement. I have a Study Skills station during my resource period every week and I know not all students are in my resource. Now (thanks to Mr. Ferradino), the Study Skills station is now available through this link. By clicking on this link, you will be able to print out flip charts, graphic organizers, etc. that students complete during my resource. This is an additional reinforcement students can use to prepare for tests/ quizzes. This will also link you to MOST handouts from class. If you have any questions, please let me know. NOTE: The flip cart 5.1-5.2 is from this past week. The E.S. 5.3 and the Smog Experiment are for next week (2.23.09-2.27.09).

Another Fundraiser
The Navy and Royal Blue Houses have been selling suckers to raise money for a field trip to the Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest. Today students received a paper for a Shoot For Science fundraiser. These donations will allow students to participate in the shoot-a-thon and fund our expenses for the trip. Thank you for your continued support! Enjoy your long weekend!
Week of 2/17-2/20
Students will be participating in Operation Keepsake this week. On 2/12 students received a packet on Animal Structures (worth 100pts.). Directions are on the back of the first page. This is to be done every night for homework along with studying their notes on natural resources and hydrocarbons. I will collect this packet on 2/23.
The week of 2/9-2/12.
All days this week have been updated with lessons and activities. Last week we began selling candy grams with the Royal Blue House in hopes of a field trip to the Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest. We do not have school Fri. (2/13) or Mon. (2/16) because of President’s Day. Conferences are Thurs. (2/19). Have a great week!
