Two-A-Days Two-a-days were again a great success, thanks mainly to the parents of the players and the fundraising efforts of the group. Fitch is one of the only school's in the area that provides their athletes with a hot, nutritious meal during the two-a-day sessions. All athletes are asked to make donations to help supplement the catered meal they are served during the grueling summer sessions. Football players, grades 9-12, are all asked to bring bread, peanut butter and jelly, fruit, salad and snacks. This food is enjoyed by all. Junior varsity and varsity players are also treated to a catered meal, which ranges from turkey subs and pasta to chicken francaise and shells alfredo. Football parents volunteer their time and energy everyday to make sure these young men and their coaches are fed. A special thanks to Giant Eagle (donating all the cakes and donuts), O'Donalds (for the great meal and co-sponsoring the Fall KickOff Party for all Fitch's fall athletes), BW3's (for co-sponsoring the Fall KickOff Party), Lucianno's (for their donation of a meal) and Coca Cola (for the Power Ade). Fundraising is also an intricate part of the Fitch Football Parents. Without the generosity of community members and businesses, the Football Parents would never be able to accomplish the things we do. The money raised this year has already provided the teams with spirit packs, lunches, and away game meals. We will also assist financially in the football banquet, which is held at the end of the season. A progressive 50/50 raffle is currently underway. Stop by the Falcon Gear Pavilion, purchase your new gear, as well as a chance at this 50/50 raffle. Also, the Adopt-a-Player program was a huge success again this year. Every varsity player was adopted, as well as all cheerleading groups and the freshman team.
